October 10, 2020, 8 AM: NAMIWalks Your Way Inland Empire – This year’s walk will be a Virtual Event via Facebook live and joined by NAMIWalks across the country.
NAMIWalks Your Way means what it sounds like: participants get to make NAMIWalks their own. You can walk a 5K—through your neighborhood, around your backyard, on your treadmill. Or you can do something else meaningful and fun to celebrate our virtual walk day.
There are several ways that you can participate in this virtual event. Social media platforms provide an ideal setting to participate and to get your message out to more people to promote awareness of mental health and NAMI, as well as, to raise money toward your fundraising goal.
To participate on social media, pick the best platform for you. Create your post and/or video about why you are supporting NAMIWalks and that you are fundraising. Share a link to your team page and use the hashtags: #namiwalksIE, #NotAlone, and #MentalHealthforAll within your post. Encourage people to sign up and walk with you or to make a donation if they can’t walk.
If you would like to join my team the “Roadrunners”, click on the link, https://www.namiwalks.org/index.cfm?fuseaction=donordrive.participant&participantID=323631 , and then click on “Roadrunners”, “Join Our Team”, and setup your account to register.
