NAMIWalks is a national public event that brings together businesses and individuals to help raise funds, combat stigma, and promote awareness. The funds raised locally are the primary source of funds that provides no cost programs each year for High Desert families affected by mental illness.
The stigma surrounding mental illness keeps families and individuals from seeking help because as a society we have failed to address mental illness; say as we have for cancer or diabetes. If someone you know struggles with a mental illness, then maybe you have seen it first-hand. It is impossible to describe the strain that mental illness places on family members and the desperate need that families have for help. By donating today, you will help families and individuals to re-build their lives through the family and individual support group meetings and educational programs offered through NAMI Inland Valley.
I hope that you will help by making a tax-deductible contribution to the Inland Empire NAMIWalks. By doing so, you will truly make a difference in the lives of those living with mental illness within our High Desert communities. Any amount will be appreciated. You can donate by sending a check to: NAMI Inland Valley, P.O. Box 636, Victorville, CA 92393 or online at www.namiwalks.org/team/24005. Please make checks payable to NAMIWalks Inland Empire.
