We provide support and resources for everyone affected by mental illness

Considering the current situation regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19), NAMI Inland Valley will be implementing all policies outlined by the Governor and California public health officials that gatherings should be postponed or canceled across the state until May 31st. For the health and safety of all involved, we will be offering virtual family and peer support groups, via Zoom, on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays during May.  All scheduled training has been postponed until further notice.  As new dates are determined for continuing trainings, we will update our website and also notify members via email.  If you would like to attend any of the virtual meetings, please contact us via email or by phone (760) 217-4109 as the group size is limited to 15.  Please mention which support group that you would like to attend.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email us at info@namiinlandvalley.org

About Us

Who Are We?

NAMI, "National Alliance on Mental Illness", is the nation's largest "volunteer based" grassroots mental health organization, dedicated to bettering the lives of many who are affected by mental illness.  The High Deserts’ co-founders’ experiences with the mental health care systems led them to recognize the need to bring a NAMI affiliate into the area.  And so they started the High Desert’s first mental health support group in 2017 to help individuals and families affected by mental illness.   We advocate for access to services, treatment, support and research and are steadfast in our commitment to raise awareness and build a community of hope for all those in need.

What we do

Our key strategic goals reflect our commitment to building capacity within our service areas - the High Desert communities.  Our strategic plan includes initiatives for outreach, support and education to build our capacity, connection and growth.  Our energies are focused on two NAMI cornerstones; advocacy and education.  Our general strategy is to offer support groups, educational classes and trainings to promote mental health awareness, in addition to participating in local mental health fairs and NAMIWalks.  It is also important that we work together with like-minded community partners to support stigma reduction, mental health education and improved access to mental health services.
